A Parent’s Perspective is a column on parenting.

Parents – touch that dial.  Yale’s Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity researchers now have hard data to prove that the most unhealthy cereals are marketed the most aggressively to children.  Even cereals with the “Smart Choices” label have some of the worst

nutrition ratings.

Why do I bring this up?  Don’t leave your kids in front of the TV only to get bombarded by these ads.  By using on demand kids shows to control what your kids watch, you will also be able to limit and control (via the fast forward feature) the ads that they see.  So I repeat – touch that dial – and turn it to on demand.
