BRIDESMAIDS – Premieres September 20
If Melissa McCarthy winning an Emmy for Best Actress in a comedy wasn't an indicator of the effect BRIDESMAIDS has had on movie-goers, it should have. This ensemble comedy by producer Judd Apatow (40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN, KNOCKED UP), written by Kristen Wiig (SNL) and Annie Mumulo and directed by Paul Feig ("The Office") was ushered in as the female version of THE HANGOVER.
It is a welcome campanion to the wolfpack.
Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS – Premiered September 16
Director Matthew Vaughn (LAYER CAKE, KICK ASS) takes his turn at the X MEN franchise. FIRST CLASS goes back to how the X MEN were originally composed with a younger, lesser known cast. Perhaps the best looking of all the X MEN movies, FIRST CLASS is a fun way to learn how Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr become Professor X and Magneto and how a host of mutants discover how to harness their powers.
James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender
PG-13, Sci-Fi
