Bring These Kids Shows to VOD!October 06, 2009
A Parents Perspective is a weekly column on parenting.
There are some great new shows out this season for kids of all ages. I am starting a petition to Comcast and Time Warner to add these shows to their VOD offerings. If you want to e-sign, email your name to info@ondemandweekly.com. Here they are:
- Glenn Martin, DDS
- Dude, What Would Happen
- Fanboy and Chum Chum
- Willas Wild Life
- Dinosaur Train
- Jungle Junction
Your Tweens might like Glenn Martin, DDS (Nickelodeon) about
a dentist and his family who trade in their life in the suburbs to travel around in an RV or Dude, What Would Happen (Cartoon Network) about three teenagers who conduct crazy experiments like what would happen if you tied 375 balloons to a sumo wrestler.
Your Elementary school kid might enjoy Fanboy and Chum Chum (Nickelodeon) about a comic book loving kid and his buddy who use their imaginations to live like their favorite fantasy heroes. The CGI is amazing. Or Willas Wild Life (Telemundo) about a 6-year-old animal lover brings home a bunch of wild animals, including two elephants, two penguins, a kangaroo and a giraffe to live with her and her dad and learns it is ok to be different.
Your Preschoolers will enjoy Jungle Junction (Disney Channel) as menageries of animals that travel on wheels instead of feet explore the jungle and teach respect for the environment. Or Dinosaur Train (PBS Kids) where a young T-Rex named Buddy goes on adventures with his adoptive family of pteranodons. This series is brought to you in excellent CGI by Lisa Henson (Jims daughter!)
