KLOWN
KLOWN, a new comedy from Denmark, is a dark, raunchy, and entertaining trip that could be considered a perverted mashup of APOCALYPSE NOW and NATIONAL LAMPOON’S VACATION.

Frank is a man-child whose girlfriend, Mia, is pregnant. She’s unsure of his fitness as a father and has reservations about having the child. In order to prove to Mia that Frank has the stuff to be a parent, he effectively kidnaps Mia’s nephew, Bo, and brings him along on a boys’ weekend with friend Casper. The problem is that Casper’s plans include a level of debauchery that is anything but kid-friendly.

Directed by Mikkel Nørgaard, produced by Lars Von Trier's production company, Zentropa, and starring celebrated international comedians Frank Hvam and Casper Christensen, KLOWN is nothing if not daring, as it keeps the hapless young Bo in close proximity to some of the lewdest, most inappropriate behavior possible and exploits his vulnerabilities for laughs. Traveling much of their way in a canoe, Casper, Frank, and Bo find themselves going upriver on a drug-soaked sex tour that will determine just who among them is the real man.

KLOWN is definitely not for everybody. Explicit, and daring, it’s equal parts mischief and menace. It makes no apologies for combining down-and-dirty imagery with a warm and fuzzy story of redemption. If you like your comedy risky and raw, have some laughs with this KLOWN.
