1. This movie was inspired by writer/director Zak Forsman's father who had a brief career in the 70's as a cocaine smuggler.

2. We stretched our crowd-funded budget of under $50,000 to shoot in over 30 locations including Palm Springs, the California desert, the US/Mexico border and all over Los Angeles.

3. One of the first times I've played a character that doesn't meet his demise in a ridiculous fashion.

4. Proof that coffee house meetings can produce tangible creative endeavors! Zak and I met up at a coffee house and discussed the idea of making an action film that had all the aspects of what we liked to watch when we were kids....

For DOWN AND DANGEROUS

we drew from films like

RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK and HEAT....

...It's full of action, suspense, dynamic characters and solid story-telling. Not to mention a really amazing soundtrack from artists Deklun and Leitbur.

5.
DOWN AND DANGEROUS is the third feature film from The Sabi Company. While the cast was made up 24 amazing actors, the crew was comprised of just 6 people total. This team at The Sabi Company is responsible for a number of award-winning short films and features and is made up of childhood friends, a husband and wife team and other artists who are all serious about continuing to make great films.
