Mike Birbiglia & Ira Glass Are Throwing VOD Pizza Parties For SLEEPWALK WITH MEOctober 08, 2012

This Friday, October 12th, Mike Birbiglia & Ira Glass are encouraging people across the country to host a pizza party and watch SLEEPWALK WITH ME on demand with friends (pizza figures prominently in several scenes in the movie). Those who participate will have a chance to video chat with Birbiglia (comedian & SWM director / star) and Glass (host of This American Life & co-writer, co-producer of SWM).

Sounds like the great making of future pizza and a movie on demand tie ins. And Ira, call me to discuss what VOD is.

But for now, it is the idea of Bribiglia & Glass' terrific SLEEPWALK WITH ME (read our DEMAND IT review here). Below are the instructions on how to participate in the SLEEPWALK WITH ME VOD Pizza Party.

Email sleepwalkpizzaparty@gmail.com with the following info:

* Name
* City, State
* Skype handle or Google Chat account
* Start and end time of your party (include time zone). 9pm EST may be your best bet.
* Phone number (as backup, in case we have tech issues with the video chat)
* Mike and Ira are going to call as many parties as possible. In 100 words or less, tell us why your party should be at the top of the list.

PS: If you're one of the first 50 people to email them a photo of your party, the filmmakers will send you a signed poster from the film.

I'm totally inviting my insomiac friends over this Friday. On second thought, maybe I'll have one of them host...
