Babes there are more ways to pamper yourselves than just mani/pedis and margaritas. I know getting your feet scrubbed is a time honored female tradition, but I urge you to put down Us Weekly and listen to me. What is the perfect thing for you to do when you need to relax? Well if Miguel the cabana boy is busy, I’d say your next best bet is Movies On Demand. And Miguel is always busy.

Ladies night out? Why not ladies night in? Same friends, same gossip, but with the added bonus of a half naked Alexander Skarsgard who doesn’t judge your terrible decisions. Need a family friendly night that doesn’t involve tears and mayhem? Movie night is in order! And what’s better than wearing out the kids with a heartwarming story and unsalted popcorn? Date night just got a lot more comfortable with movies on demand. Skip the salsa dancing. You know what happened last time.

And that’s why I’m here to personally pick out the top films each month specifically for you. Now get ready for my top October picks. They’ll be less debilitating than your expensive shoe addiction, and far more entertaining than watching your man wax his Ducati.

MAGIC MIKE – Premieres October 23

Channing Tatum stripping. Do you honestly need more of a reason than that? Well I’ll give you four. Matthew McConaughey, Alex Peyttfer, Matt Bomer, and Joe Manganiello. Stripping. It’s legitimately the best performance of Chippendales you’ll ever see. Does it have any sort of plot? Yes. Do we care? No. - KAW

ROCK OF AGES – Premieres October 9

The 80’s were a time of greatness. Crimped hair, blue eye shadow, leg warmers. These are just a few reasons why this decade was the absolute best, and Rock of Ages is like the perfect 80’s ballad; Cheessy yet dramatic with a great guitar solo. The story follows a small town girl and a city boy singing their way to their Hollywood dreams. However the high point of this film is watching the sinfully fantastic Tom Cruise as rock god Stacee Jaxx. You’ll never look at “Pour Some Sugar On Me” the same way again. - KAW

PEOPLE LIKE US – Premieres October 2

If you’ve had enough eye candy watching Channing Tatum rip off his shirt and Tom Cruise writhing on the floor than you might be interested in watching this heartwarming drama. The story follows Sam, an absentee son, who sees his father’s death as a way to further his own means. Throw in a surprise sister with an angry kid and you’ve got yourself a dysfunctional family. Great acting is just one of the brilliant things that make this film, and watching Chris Pine and Elizabeth Banks together is as compelling as watching your own family. PEOPLE LIKE US has a whole lot of drama, and a whole lot of heart. - KAW

If you’re a babe that’s looking for a little action try this. It’s the prequel to Ridley Scott’s Alien, and is sure to produce a lot of screams. It has a great cast including Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender, and if you can look past the awkward phallic symbolism I’m sure you’ll be vastly entertained. Trust me if you pick this for movie night your bro will owe you a lot more than just a pack of Red Vines. - KAW

The most underrated on demand film in October is this Wes Anderson masterpiece. It’s a smart comedy that pairs the precise amount of wit and spirit, and perfectly personifies the hardship and hilarity of young love. If you’re looking for something that will appeal to both babes and Guys pick this. You won’t be disappointed. - KAW
