Josh Temple – House Crashers
HGTV
I woke up this morning with the desire to get hardcore with this design idea. Josh Temple’s House Crashers sounded just like what I needed. Josh contracts himself out to people who have projects and these people need a new bedroom because theirs looks like a dorm room. Hey! That’s not me standing there but that’s my problem!
This couple has the foxy sliding mirror closet doors. Sexy. Their carpet is “go team” blue. The entry way to the bathroom is wide enough for the husband’s wheelchair (again, making me feel like I’m a dope since I’m perfectly healthy). Josh is going to save the day! Josh and his team of almost 15. I need a crew. One thing I notice is that they have a floor diagram. The BF is good at those. One crew member down, fourteen more to go. They demo the mirror closet door! Isn’t that bad luck? Maybe just for the mirror. This is some serious demolition. I want one of those hammers that breaks threw walls. But we rent. So maybe I should bypass that.
The “go team” blue carpet is being replaced with hardwood but right before the hardwood, there’s a big concrete floor grinder that I immediately add to my Christmas list. That looks like a good time. I’m digging project but this one is a bit more intense than my needs. I mean there are door frames involved. If I learn all this, I could change careers. Hmmm…wait! Stop sidetrack thought. This is what gets me into procrastination trouble. But Josh seems to joke around a lot so maybe procrastination isn’t so bad. Except he has a crew, Tara. Right. Good one.
There are some great details like thinking of where to put organizational things and light fixtures so they don’t impede with door closures. No detail is too small for me.
