But first, let’s recap. It's been a big year for country-pop star Taylor Swift. Her 2008 album "Fearless" dominated the airwaves and stayed atop the charts all year. She won
“Artist of the Year” at the American Music Awards and the "Entertainer of the Year Award" at the Country Music Awards, got nominated for eight Grammys, famously beat out Beyonce for the Best Female Video at the MTV Video Music Awards, was dissed by both Kanye West and Wynonna Judd, hosted 'Saturday Night Live', and traded in Joe Jonas for Taylor "the shirtless Wolf Boy in New Moon" Lautner. That's a pretty busy year for somebody in their teens.
You can watch not only the frothy pop stuff (think countrified Kelly Clarkson) like “Picture to Burn” and the now infamous video for “You Belong to Me,” (the video MTV thought was better than Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”) as well as her slower, more traditional country songs like “White Horse,” “Love Song,” the teen anthem “Fifteen” and her big super-duper hit “Our Song.” Plus you can find out which song Taylor wrote in 15 minutes, which song was a Christmas present for a special person in her life and why not to break Taylor’s heart (hint – you’ll get a mean song written about you.) And don’t worry if you’re not fifteen when deciding on whether or not to catch all of this as her songs are a lot more sophisticated then you’d think-- intimate and confessional and showing a depth and intelligence not usually associated with your average teen pop star. Taylor in fact has gotten rave reviews from such places as the New Yorker for her precocious talent. Oh, and the songs are kind of catchy too.
The compilation includes
-Videos of all of her big songs
-Behind The Scenes (BTS) footage on the making of all of her big videos
-Her guest hosting “Saturday Night Live”
