Zombie fans will be happy to know that THE HORDE is not a typical zombie movie. It’s a high production value, action-packed, fast and furious horror film with an exciting adventure into the world of the undead.
With a simple story set-up, directors Yannick Dahan and Benjamin Rocher embark on a battle between gangsters, cops and zombies. Four corrupt Parisian cops decide to bring down the gang who killed their colleague, but after tracking them to an abandoned building, the two disparate groups are forced to team up to defeat the zombie horde when the dead start to rise and take over the City.

With its claustrophobic location and the intensely strained relationship between the cops and robbers, be prepared for hordes of bloodthirsty, cannibalistic creatures invading the building and savagely attacking everyone. Unexpected alliances are made when their lives are threatened by the unthinkable.
The directors create superbad guys who you eventually sympathize with, and as the story progresses, you wonder who will make it out alive.
The flick doesn’t escape a few mishaps, such as after learning that zombies stop moving when shot in the head, the gangsters and cops still shoot them in the body. But, with a body filled with a high-octane adrenaline rush, alls fair in blood and war as they fight for their lives against the unstoppable force.

Overall, THE HORDE stands out as a well-produced, smart zombie thriller in an oversaturated market.
