"Band of Brothers, The Pacific" is sort of a sequel to HBO's 2001 most excellent mini-series "Band of Brothers." The ten part mini-series, based on real-life soldiers documented by historian Stephen Ambrose, followed the journey of members of E (Easy) Company during WWII as you see them get trained, parachute into Normandy on D-Day, and experience much of the major events of the Western Front of the war.

You get to see what their lives are like during the day, what they experience (including the discovery of a Concentration Camp), how they fought, and what they thought of the war. It was one of the most sprawling and ambitious things created for TV and at $125 million also one of the most expensive. "Band of Brothers, the Pacific" will attempt to do the same but will follow a bunch of Marines making their way through the Pacific Front.
And what will this nice package include?
- Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg talking about their experiences making Band Brothers and how it led to the creation of The Pacific
- A documentary about the making of the series
- A preview and clips of major characters
It will also include things features concerning "Band of Brothers" including
