Yahoo! Originals And Ben Stiller Throws Hose Into Dating Serial Fire With BURNING LOVE

Burning Love (Yahoo! Originals)

ABC's "The Bachelorette" is back this summer with its umpteenth season. Wait, how many couiples have lasted so far? But before you give up on the dating serial,  Yahoo! Originals throws its hose into the fire with the premiere of "Burning Love," executive produced by Ben Stiller. Sure it's scripted, but with Ken Marino, Michael Ian Black and the funniest comediennes taking their turn as marriage material to a TV hunk, it's more entertaining.

While every other bentertainment publication has "The Bachelorette" covered, On Demand Weekly's dating show expert Kate Asche Wilson will breakdown each episode as if she were right there in the mansion.

Episode 1:
He’s used to feeling the heat of fire, but now he’s looking for someone to ignite the flames of love.

Burning Love (Yahoo! Originals)

From the hilarious mind of Ben Stiller comes “Burning Love,” A perfectly inappropriate parody of “The Bachelor.” Ken Marino (ROLE MODELS, WANDERLUST) stars as our bachelor Mark Orlando; a fireman who’s looking for someone that can make him laugh, but isn’t afraid of robots.

We begin Mark’s journey with Bill Tundle (Michael Ian Black), host and closest poet, at the “Burning Love” mansion. Here we are introduced to the sixteen bachelorettes. Dental Hygienists, grandmas, the blind, and a mysteries woman in a panda suit are just some of the woman vying for a shot at love with Mark. But only one lucky lady will receive the final hose.

I fully admit that I watch the real Bachelor religiously, and enjoy it for its ridiculousness and Chris Harrison. “Burning Love” is the perfect parody, and squeezes everything I adore about The Bachelor into eight minutes. I don’t know how she does it, but writer Erica Oyama captures the absurdity and awesomeness of televised dating perfectly. Someone get that girl a hose!

Crying, lying, cursing, suicidal thoughts, screaming, shouting, drinking, no pants, no class, and Ken Jeong make this web series into everything I want it to be. Trust me if you love or hate "The Bachelor" you will not regret watching this.

Will you join me and follow Mark in his quest to find someone to be his wife. Or at least his fiancé for a little while? Do it. Do it for true love!

Episode 2:

I have told women that I love them, but I didn’t mean it.

This next episode takes us inside the mansion where Mark gets some quality alone time with the ladies at the first cocktail party. Now we find out who has the best chemistry with Mark, and who is here for all the wrong reasons.

The brilliant Ken Jeong (THE HANGOVER) plays Ballerina the obvious frontrunner in the race for Mark’s heart. They share a tender moment feeding each other before Mark is stolen away by the mentally unstable Lexie. By the end of the night Mark has had a total of fifteen seconds with each bachelorette, and at this point can tell who he has a true connection with.

Host Bill Tumble lurks forward from behind the shadows, and reveals that the women will chose the first Bachelorette to go home. Will it be the homeless Willow? The crazy-eyed child psychologist Destiny? Or the blind photographer Tamara?

Burning Love (Yahoo! Originals)

The verdict? Ballerina. In a twist that’s more shocking than Memento we discover that the women have chosen frontrunner Ballerina to be the first woman to be booted from the “Burning Love” mansion.

What the hell Erica Oyama? I’m shocked and hurt by this turn of events. I thought Ballerina was going to make it to the end, but no. You had to dash my dreams and stomp on my fragile heart.

One things for sure watching Mark find true love is going to be as hard for me as it for him. Watch the second episode of “Burning Love” right now on Yahoo! to find out who else doesn’t receive a hose, and what famous celebrity lies behind the panda mask.

Episode 3:
There’s a good chance she could be the one. If not, not the one.

Before we embark on Mark’s first one on one date, with the always pant less Hayley, we are privileged enough to be let into a private session with Mark and his unlicensed therapist Damien Assante (Adam Scott) in this titillating third episode of “Burning Love”.

Burning Love (Yahoo! Originals)

Mark describes therapy as working through your issues with a really expensive friend. With such a good head on his shoulders Mark is well on his way to becoming one of the most intelligent bachelors in television history.

After some intense pillow therapy, and lite house cleaning. Mark is rejuvenated and revived for his date with Hayley. Hayley, played by the incomparable Natasha Leggero, is the resident slut of the “Burning Love” mansion. She’s the girl you love to hate, and every bachelorette in the house is sick of her naked shenanigans.

Nothing says romantic like the Saddle Ranch on Sunset, and that’s just where Mark takes his potential wife. Wowing him with her ability to ride a mechanical bull for two hours Hayley quickly finds her way into Mark’s heart, and his pants.

My prediction: Hayley is obviously the new frontrunner now that Ballerina is out of the picture. The other girls need to watch out or she’s going to drink her way to the final hose.

Will Mark ever find true love? Will the girls start beating each other with their hoses? Will Hayley ever put on some pants? These questions and more will be answered on the next episode of “Burning Love”.
