Design Star (VOD Hidden Gem)

There are few things worse than realizing you’re too little too late. It’s how I feel when I hear about the price of gold and I curse myself for not trolling pawn shops to melt them down. Hey, every little bit helps in this economy.

That “too late” feeling crept up on me when I was watching “Big Rich Texas” on the Style Channel. Given all of the interwoven (that includes the wigs along with the fake friendships) on all of the other so-called female based reality shows like “Real Housewives” (pick a city), “Basketball Wives” (though few are wives), “Love and Hip Hop” (don’t even get me started again), it would seem like Dallas would have been the first stop on the crazy train to get it’s own reality show of that nature.

But it wasn’t. Bravo’s Housewives is going on six years now and we’re just now getting “Big Rich Texas” which is too bad because now the show seems a bit like it’s trailing behind the b*tch hoopla. One thing you’ll note on episode one, like RHOB and RHOOC (acronyms since we go way back), most of the women are blond and almost all reinforce the stereotype of catty, clawy, greedy and fake women.
